I was so hoping to stop in for a flange someday and to catch up with the Dipfeiffer family...guess I will have to settle for the family. Best wishes for a speedy sale!

The best part of having a neighborhood hardware store is being able to walk there, just around the corner or up the street - not in suburban strip mall.

Selling the store was a bittersweet decision. But, support from you and the commenter s here makes me lean toward the sweet. Thanks very much for your support.

Hey - great to see you cover this. Todd and I lived in a group home together 600 years ago and have been buddies for years. Which doesn't really mean anything except that I share your support and pride in what he and his family have done for the store and area.

Thats too bad! I sure hope whoever buys the space with keep the neighborhood hardware store! It's soooo convienent to run into Pfeiffers for a basic hardware need. Who wants to fight traffic, mobs of people and lines at the Home Depot, when all you need is a new shower head?
