The only way to get to Georgetown is by car? You have got to be kidding me.

You've been living in the area of 10 years (according to your website), and you just noticed a 2 hour rule now? Do you ever come into DC? The 2-hour parking rule is there for residents - so residents like myself can park in the city where I live. I don't see the need to provide free street parking for a Arlington resident when there's plenty of decent transit. And the meters are for people who work there as well or have temporary business.

The movie theatre isnt that far from either Foggy Bottom or Rosslyn Stations (15 minute walk at most for each). The DC Circulator will drop you off anywhere on M Street as well. The movie theatre has $5 parking as well.

And seriously, if that's THAT much of an issue, there's a metro accessible theatre on Gallery Place, as well as one in Dupont and one on E Street. One of those has what you're looking for, i'm sure.

Um ok. 2 hour parking restriction is pretty much a citywide thing. Not sure what you want the city to do about it. by your logic the city should also allow 8 hour parking downtown to accommodate office workers. Look. pick a shorter movie next time, take a cab or the bus, or use the convenient parking garage underneath the theater or the three other garages within a couple blocks of the theater. Come one, if you're too cheap to park in a lot then why would you even think of driving to Georgetown. Seriously, why?

The last time I actually parked in Georgetown (which was a year ago), they had three $5 parking garages in that area. The Lowes Theater down there had a discount if you validated your parking too. If not, you can always sneak a spot in the neighborhood if you don't mind the walk.

The Circulator goes there and it's only a buck a throw. Plus, I seriously doubt that 2-hour parking is even remotely keeping people from going to Georgetown; it's not like it needs to encourage anyone. Anyone driving to Georgetown (or any populated area in the city) PLANNING on finding street parking is insane.
