They (those major news outlets) said it was a language barrier, but I'm guessing some common-sense was missing... now we'll have signs (possibly bi-lingual) noting that only the child seat, etc. and not the child must go through the x-ray... Yeah, don’t forget about the 60 something Mexican grandmother that put her grandchild through the X-ray in Tuscon this week…

Yeah, with the size of the bags on the back, I wonder how often the 'store the kid in there' thoughts have passed through parents' minds. Yes, when storage of goodies in the front far outweighs the safety of their child will that contemplation exist... but then again, I've seen my fair share of "Cletus The Slack-Jawed Yokels" around DC.
