You can even download free software from Lego to create your designs "virtually." Check out Lego Digital Designer. They have versions for both Windows and Mac OS X.

The next time I'm anywhere near Carlsbad, I would definitely plan a trip to Logoland. They also have parks in the UK (Windsor), Germany (Günzburg), and Denmark (Billund).

Play well!

Legos are so damn HOT!!

I had bins and bins as a kid, getting lost for days in entire worlds (many with flowers and grass) that would then end in a giant flurry of destruction (Mom!!) when the grew beyond my room and started colonizing other planets (Legos clog bathtubs).

Now that I'm all "grown-up", I limit myself to the Lego Tie Fighter Collection zooming around my bedroom.

Yeah, I'm a geek and proud of it.

I have to say, if I wanted a left brained activity to calm down, Legos might just be where its at for a few minutes. This from the girl who, when I get all flustered, sit down to do a long multiplication math problem to straighten out and clear my brain.

ANYWAY - I would argue that the grass allows a little more feminine interest for girls - as might some of those Lego options that didn't used to exist when we were kids. I like it. I wouldn't mind a little grouping of flowers either...
