Who Knew: Movies Sell Out

This is the movie board at Regal Cinemas in Chinatown. Note that Borat is sold out for both the 6.15 and 7.15 showing.

Out for my once-a-year movie watching, I decided at the last minute (5.55) that Borat would be good fun on a Sunday.

I was not alone.

Who knew that people still went to movies in DC? What with Internet, politics, and local news to distract us.

I checked for tickets there on Friday around 4, and all but the 12:10 show were sold out.

It was great (and also sold out) Friday night at Rio in Gaithersburg. As I left Tysons earlier this (Sunday) evening, there was a very large crowd gathering to see it there also.

Your a fool if you think getting there just a few minutes before the showing of any big movie these days will allow you to get a ticket plus the seat you want.

Hope your supermodel wasn’t disppointed in your lack of planning ahead. How’s your neck feel sitting so close?
