Hoardes of darling little trick-or-treaters in their costumes are out with their parents around downtown Silver Spring today, as I’m sure is true of the rest of the district and across the country. I’m not sure if Halloween (my personal favorite pagan holiday) is celebrated the same way in other parts of the world.

If you have kids, you might want to take them for an extra special treat at the National Zoo. I’ve never been to either the zoo itself, or their Web site before—which is pretty slick and I especially like the panda favicon. Anyway, if I had kids I would definitely take them to Boo at the Zoo, running from yesterday through Sunday. Many adults are probably hard at work on their own costumes and planning on imbibing at one Halloween party or another. What are you dressing up as this year?
