Worst Ad Campaign Ever?

“Hungerectomy”?! Really? Mars Inc., what the hell you were thinking? When I walk away after seeing this ad, I’m not thinking about buying Snickers. Their word doesn’t suggest satisfaction of hunger to me, it reminds me of gastric bypass surgery–something someone who has eaten too many Snickers might need.

In conclusion, stay away from marketing mashups with -ectomy.

Perhaps it’s the presence of “Rectom” in the middle of that, and the giant brown background that has me thinking their campaign is shitty.

Or it could be the “erect” – right at the center.

Turd-brown ad campaign. I wonder what genius thought that up.
