Enjoy It

Forget the endless thunderstorms last June and the blast furnace heat in August, autumn is the best time of year—and today has been a perfect example of it. With temperatures in the mid-70’s, low humidity, a nice breeze, and sunny blue skies, if I didn’t have the freedom of being self-employed I would probably ditch the job today to walk in the park, or better yet, go for a drive in the country and then go for a walk.

Pessimists like to point out that fall is just a reminder that winter is coming. Bah! Winters in DC are mild compared to many parts of the country, or even worse, Canada.

So if you’re just about to leave your office or cubicle for the day, skip the bar and spend some time outdoors. When it does get cold and snowy, you will be glad you did. Tomorrow looks to be much of the same. Enjoy it!
