79 Les Boulez games to be televised this season

Yesterday, the Wizards announced their 2005-2006 broadcast schedule. Unlike the Capitals who have every game on television, D.C.’s NBA franchise will have to settle for having most games televised.

Comcast SportsNet will broadcast 54 regular season games during the 2006-07 campaign, beginning with the regular season opener in Cleveland on November 1st; a rematch from last season’s NBA Playoff series between the Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Washington is scheduled to appear on national television 19 times during the 2006-07 campaign, including eight ESPN telecasts (11/1 at CLE, 11/17 at DET, 12/8 at PHI, 12/22 at PHX, 1/12 at NOK, 2/23 at CHI, 4/6 vs. CLE, 4/18 at IND), nine NBATV games (11/4 vs. BOS, 11/18 vs. CLE, 12/4 vs. DAL, 12/17 at LAL, 1/23 vs. PHX, 1/30 vs. DET, 3/11 at MIA, 3/17 vs. NOK, 4/10 vs. NJN), one TNT Thursday night exclusive, (12/21 at SAC), and one contest in ABC’s window (4/15 vs. CHI).

The Emmy-Award winning Steve Buckhantz returns for his 10th season as play-by-play commentator, while former Bullets’ great Phil Chenier is back to provide his 22nd season of analysis.

Three games will not be televised.
