No, I didn’t actually hear this conversation (except in my mind) when I snapped this picture. But come one… matching white volvos? The only way it could have been better is if they were the exact same model. Oh wait, they are, just different years…

When I was in NJ last weekend I actually saw matching Hummers in a driveway. How’s that for a scary thought?
I don’t know any republicans that buy Volvo’s – I’m sure they do, but I definitely don’t know any. Plus, the D’s I hang out with drive Landrovers and Porsches.
I’m just saying – a little overgeneralization.
There *used* to be a strong correlation between Volvo-driving and political liberalism but I heard from my evil market-research friend that it’s no more. At least for new Volvos like the ones above.
I’ve also seen a house with matching Hummers — they were a his-and-hers pair.
Yes it was an overgeneralization to say that only wealthy Republicans drive volvos. However, one of these volvos did have a “dubya” bumper sticker on it – leading me to conlude that these particular volvos are problably driven by wealthy republicans… and in my mind it’s just funny to say things like “wealthy GOP elite.”
Not to say there isn’t a wealthy DNC elite too :-) Heck, I’d love to be part of it, but I don’t make enough money (yet).

Maybe it is a semi private garage. There are a bank of garages behind my condo building and you could buy 1/2 of a garage. Maybe they are just neighbors who have identical cars.
Nope those are my neighbors. I thought that looked familiar. They’re good people, but it is funny. If smouie kablooie could only get the house to the right in the same shot they have 3 mercedes, 2 of 3 are the same model.
