The Smithsonian recently started producing a newsletter that focuses on everything you local DC metro area residents need to know about what they are doing. According to their website:

You can also sign up to have it delivered straight to your email. With all the complaints I hear about “there is nothing to do in this town” – here is a place you can turn to find some cool/fun things to entertain yourself… and maybe even learn something too! (yes I am a dork for writing that but i’m trying to make a good impression)
