that’s some good pho
Half of Smouie Kablooie is Chinese – so we tend to eat a lot of asian cuisine. One of our favorite things to eat is Pho, a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup dish. A staple of both our diets while going through college, we continue to eat it on a regular basis, e.g. about three or four times a month.
While there are many places in the local area to get this dish – many of which serve only Pho and nothing else – our favorite place to get it is Minh’s, in Clarendon. Today we enjoyed their perfectly fried spring rolls, and bountiful bowls of broth, noodles, beef, and vegetables.

If you have never been, you’ll find that a "small" bowl is more than adequate to satisfy your hunger. They also provide seating outdoors so you can enjoy the weather on a day like today. Another great thing about Minh’s is you can get their delicious food delivered through Dr. Delivery. This is especially helpful when you can’t get up the strength to leave the house because you’re suffering the ill-effects of a cold or hangover – both of which can be cured with this wonderful dish.
I knew there was a reason I liked you.
thanks twinkie – by the way, love the handle if i’m guessing the inuendo behind it
my assumption is that the reason you like smouie kablooie is becuase half of us is Chinese – but you may be surprised to learn that she hasn’t had a chance to post anything yet – let alone update our author’s profile :-)
nevertheless – glad you like the posts, and thank you for the comments – we live for those!
Eating at Minh’s has to be one of the most relaxing things to do around here. Love the food and the servers are very gracious!
I’m a huge fan of the Pho down at Pho 75, and can be spotted many Friday nights having a small 12 or a small 15 with hot sauce and extra basil and sprouts. Mmmmmmm pho. Have to go try Minh’s now.
Thanks, Joseph, for noting the service at Minh’s. He is definately spot-on with his assessment!
I also agree with Tom that Pho-75 is probably one of the better places to go that “specializes” in this dish.
