Is This Where the King of the Reservoir Lives?

I had been intensely wondering why the Georgetown Reservoir’s pumping station on MacArthur Blvd is literally a castle. It turns out that the US Army Corps of Engineers went all out and built it as an homage to their own castle insignia. Go figure.

While looking into it I found this remarkably detailed blog about the Reservoir’s Canadian Geese. That guy has been looking out for the geese for years!
