Rain raining. Drains draining, mostly. Our semi-hurricane and the remnants of Ernesto left leaves floating and sailing and clogging and causing all manner of mess, but mostly it left us in awe. On our walk yesterday my son and I barely made it to the end of our block because the sidewalks were littered like a beach at low tide. We combed the debris and kicked and poked and and plucked and photographed. So much beauty literally left at our door.
