Free brownies at Domino’s today

fudgem_01.gif

In the past free ice cream, doughnuts and cookies have all been blogged about here. Today, we add brownies to the mix. Domino’s Pizza is giving away free brownie squares between 3-5 p.m. at select locations, no purchase necessary. If you purchase a large pizza at regular price, they’ll give you 10 of these fudgey briquettes.

If you don’t know where you nearest Domino’s is their Web site can help you. Let us know how they taste.

Actual brownies may not have arms and legs. Metroblogging DC is not responsible if your local Domino’s is too cheap to participate in this promotion or if you get a tummy ache/gain weight/get cavities from consumption of foodstuff.

Why would anyone want brownies (much less pizza) from Dominos?

Have you seen this ad on television for the brownie? Where the people ordering pizza hug the brownie and come away all smeared with brown…stuff? It’s rather disturbing.

Last night, I caught the commercial halfway through, right before the kid got smeared by the large block of brown… doo. Horrified, I waited a few seconds to try to determine exactly what Dominos was selling. Appetizing.

This commercial and the BK ads rawk for their disturbing content. Of course, since I don’t consume the goods of either company, I’m guessing they don’t make for effective ads.

Whoever is in charge of developing these ads is clueless! It’s one thing for an agency to come to you with horrible options. Its another when the CEO,CMO,and Marketing VP thinks they are good!
