Out on the Lawn

Heading out for the day you open the front door and the usual blast of hot air fails to toast you. What’s this? Cool? Usually a mere concept in August. Yep, cool. And you step out to bike slowly through your neighborhood. Finally you find the perfect place. You dismount. You take a swig of water. You take in a deep breath and relax. You’re out to prove that there is nothing like laying back on a nice day stretched out on the front lawn of the nation.

High and dry, pressure and humidity that is. If someone else didn’t post on the excellent weather this weekend, I would have. I hope everyone is enjoying it after that incredible week of 100 degree days.

This whole weekend has been nothing short of incredible. Watching the game under the light at RFK last night was a pleasure I haven’t had since I left California for the East and the Midwest. Perfect temperatures, a light breeze, it was a wonderful thing.

I heard the game on Wednesday night was from heaven. And, we won. What kind of karma is that?
