Possible protest congestion

The 2006 Animal Rights Convention is slated to be held at the Hilton Mark Hotel in Alexandria from Thursday 10th August through Monday 14th August. It’s known that Win Animal Rights (WAR) and Animal Liberation Front (ALF) will be in attendance and possible “action” (a demonstration perhaps) is planned by members of WAR possibly in the District from 1:30 p.m. through 4 p.m. on Monday (exact location unknown at this time), be prepared for possible commuting delays and traffic congestion.

Currently MPD and the FBI are monitoring the situation with updates forthcoming. As of today, neither Park Police nor MPD have issued any permits.
