We got a reminder from Dennis Jaffe, chairman of the Metro Riders’ Advisory Council (RAC), about tomorrow night’s special meeting, from 6:30 to 8:30 at WMATA headquarters, 600 Fifth Street NW. WMATA’s chief financial officer and budget director will discuss possible fare increases for FY2008, which begins on July 1, 2007. After the WMATA presentation, RAC will have a Q&A with the two panelists. A public Q&A will follow as well.

While the status of interim Metro GM Dan Tangherlini is not on the agenda (PDF), it may be brought up during the public comment period, though the focus of Tuesday’s meeting is going to F2008 Budget. The next regular RAC meeting is Wednesday, August 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
