Here we are a little less than 36 hours until the first pitch at the Nationals’ “Grand Reopening” and Major League Baseball has yet to announce that Ted Lerner and family officially own the franchise. This is hardly unexpected since MLB has proven to be quite successful at dragging out every part of this process. History suggests that any announcement is likely to come today, after 5 p.m., probably around 5:42 or so. We shall see.
