Two years ago, Metroblogging DC came online, part of a nascent network of other cities, I think at the time we were maybe the fifth or sixth Metroblog in existence at that point. You can read some of the early writings of the site, still part of our archive today. Since that first entry, we’ve published over 3000 entries, and received close to 5000 comments! We’re looking forward to another year of existence, but first we’ve got to party!

Next weekend, on Saturday the 29th, come and join us for a barbeque out at Fletcher’s Boathouse up off Canal Road. There will be more information in the coming days, but mark your calendar now, and get ready to party up with all your favorite Metbloggers.
