Yep, there’s a killer music festival — The Virgin Festival, in fact — coming to Pimlico racetrack in Baltimore on September 23, and if you’re a subscriber to the 9:30 Club email list you can get pre-sale tickets July 21 from 10AM til 10PM and the password is, natch, Nattyboh. The public gets its first crack on July 22. Among those booked: Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, The Killers, The Flaming Lips, The Reconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Thievery Corporation, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The New Pornographers, Drive-By Truckers, Kasabian, Brazilian Girls, Wolfmother. But, Hon, the tickets are rumored to be in the $90-$100 range. Pretty steep given that at most festivals, that kind of daily fee would cover camping, showers and Port-o-john use. You can catch one of the bands — Brazilian Girls — for free at Artscape in Baltimore this Sunday at 4:30 pm.
