Farecast – still beta

Josh over at Seattle Metblogs blogged about farecast, this seemingly great website that predicts the best day to purchase airline tickets. Currently still in beta phase and using only Seattle and Boston as test cities, you can track the best purchase dates from these two Cities to a plethora of other U.S. cities. I was able to determine that the best date to purchase tickets for my cousin to drop into D.C. for a quick visit over labor day weekend would be within the next seven days, before summer travel pushes the fare up by at least $23 dollars.

Click here and ask farecast to add IAD, DCA or BWI to its list of cities. I’d like to know when the best time to purchase my tickets to Sydney would be.
