Defending the job, not the action?

I’m definitely not defending a pastor just because he’s a pastor – let’s be honest, I have a predisposition to do that, but it looks like this pastor needed to get a moving violation if he was truly not driving with the required front license plate. Give the man a ticket and/or do whatever the law requires.

What’s not cool is leaving anyone – this time, the guy’s wife – on the side of the road while he was taken to jail (for a missing license plate, no less) while the car was impounded. I find it odd that this group of clergy, however, is defending him just because he’s clergy.

I know it sounds cliché, but Baltimore police have nothing better to do than jail folks without front plates? Hmmm…
