For the four-legged family members

There are probably 87,521 different guides to Washington, DC. Historic, cuisine, geographic, ethnic, politcal – the works. But I just picked up my new favorite – the Dog Lover’s Companion to Washington, DC and Baltimore.

Want to know:

The most dog-friendly restaurant in NW? How about Arbor at 2400 18th St?

Don’t have a snooty purebred in the family? How about the annual Mutts on the Mall celebration at the end of September?

Looking for a good open space for some exercise in Falls Church? Try Roundtree Park off Annandale Road

As the proud gaurdian of a bit-manic canine, I’m looking forward to a summer of enjoying the Metro area and not leaving the little turd at home. She’d only chew something valuable.

Arbor has been closed for about two years. The Prince Cafe in its former location is probably not as dog friendly as Chief Ike’s or Adams Mill.
