Muppets come home

Excellent news! The National Museum of American History debuts Muppets and Mechanisms: Jim Henson’s Legacy today. It runs through Sept. 4.

The exhibit features classic muppets such as Kermit, Rolf, the Swedish Chef and well as Sam & Friends, Henson’s first TV show. Henson, a Maryland native, won an Emmy for Sam & Friends in 1958. Animatronic figures from his 1982 feature The Dark Crystal are also on display.
