A Taste Of Boston
Things are a-changin’ in D.C., and it seems like a taste of what I like to refer to as my American home will be swinging into town. Not Your Average Joe’s, a Boston area staple is planning to open thirty area restaurants within the next five years.
Although rental prices in D.C. are higher than those of Boston, construction costs are considerably lower. Expect to see a few restaurants in the construction hot-bed of Loudoun Co., expanding into Montgomery Co., and a little birdie says that Stephen Silverstein has his eye on a 14th St., N.W. location.
With a menu to please even the most persnickety Boston foodie (who, in my opinion are even pickier than the snobbiest of DCers), Silverstein managed to bring the good foods you can find in the city out to the ‘burbs. Perhaps D.C. doesn’t need another national chain in the making, but I’ll be at the bar eating a peanut butter thing, ta muchly.
What are some of the best D.C. area restaurants that remind you of a little taste of home?
