Police Station Shooting in Fairfax

A friend was driving around the area when this was all going down and was reproting tons of emergency vehicles, road blocks, and the like. Let’s hope the officers are okay and I suppose wait on word about the suspect.

I don’t know about you all – maybe I’m a baby – but even the word “sniper” being in the article sort of makes my skin crawl remembering a few years ago.

My friend who lives not two miles from this is now going home, even though one maybe two people are running around with AKA-47s. HEARSAY 5th hand at that.

What bothered me was the FOX news teams kept saying things like, “Now we’re not going to mention the word sniper at this point because we don’t want to cause a panic.”

HELLO!! You just said it! *runs around in a panic* They “didn’t” mention the word sniper about 5 times.

I was listening to WaPo Radio yesterday, and it was all Bob Kerr could do not to giggle with glee, between playing the pity party and interviewing yet another reporter who knew nothing more than they did 10 minutes prior.
