I know I’m late in posting and update on last week’s fundraiser, Hurricane Happy Hour. Alas, here’s the amazingly awesome update on our trip and on our fundraising efforts. First, Tuesday night at Mackey’s was awesome. At last count between 80 and 90 people showed up to support the efforts, and our team could not appreciate each and every one of you more. From our co-workers to our friends, to the Metrobloggers and even some MBDC readers – you are all truly appreciated! We were overwhelmed at the support of our friends and family.

From our event, we raised approximately $2,400 – this is, by most conservative estimations – three times our goal. $2,400 can buy approximately a WHOLE LOTTA drywall and supplies for these families that truly have nothings. I can’t explain how much good this will do – and I can’t thank our supporters enough.
