It’s senseless and tragic. I knew Damon and he was a fun, energetic, really good guy who had a really, really bright future ahead of him. I’m completely in shock and I can’t imagine how his family must feel right now… If you’re reading this, know that friends of Damon’s are thinking of you in sympathy.

You’re right, Carol, it is more than Yikes, but it’s hard to put into word, and sometimes a sad and resigned Yikes is all I can muster.

Our niece was there and so traumatized. His family must be beyond bereft. This is so much more than parking spaces and “Yikes” reactions. Someone needs to come forward and identify the shooter and deal with the crime.

It is a sad reality and, unfortunately, it could have happened anywhere, as Jim Graham said in the article.

I have been travelling over the river to go to that area for the ever growing nightlife and this incident won’t deter me. Just wish we could get rid of the people who need to assert their manhood with a weapon.
