Lame Traffic Gripes

Driving home from campus tonight I passed an impressively scary eight or nine car wreck on the Beltway. Hope all involved are okay. The wreck was most likely a product of the constant lane re-alignment in conjunction with the Wilson Bridge project. I nearly wrecked myself earlier in my drive when my lane suddenly ended without warning into a new ramp wall. They really need to get a lane cooridinator over there at the Wilson Bridge Command Trailer.

I also got to try out the new Route 1N exit tonight, which left me thouroughly unimpressed with its extra long-wait traffic light. Oh how I long for the days of that suicide merge under the blown-out street-lamps.
