I -heart- single life
This day, above any other, I -heart- being a single guy. Unlike you taken suckers people, I’m walking by the flower lady with a smile as others browse and bargain. I get to eat all my own chocolates – cheap, non-extortion priced chocolates.
Best yet, tonight, I don’t have to run the restaurant gauntlet. As you’re forking over the wads of cash (hit the multilingual ATM now!), I’ll be enjoying the gym then yoga solo and without guilt.
Then, while I’m home alone, and you’re getting your just reward, I’ll be searching DCSingles.org for my loving. Yes, today I -heart- being a single guy.
I’m with you – in all your jadedness!
the hunter expends much of his energy roaming the wilderness to find his prey, and some may mistake this for freedom. but it is the farmer who truly has the freedom to live life on his own terms, secure in the knowledge that his cows are nearby for milking at his convenience.
I don’t know about “non-extortion priced” chocolates, Mr. Development Guy. Simply put, chocolate = child slave-labor in West Africa. Happy Valentines Day!
The hunter thinks, why buy the cow flowers and dinner when I can get the milk for free? And all flavors of milk too – including chocolate and soy
you’ve got it backwards, wayan, in reality the farmer is the one getting the milk for free. the hunters are the suckers who are working way too hard for it.
the tough part is finding yourself a good cow. one of the ones who are perfectly happy buying their own flowers and dinner, and really don’t want anything from the farmer other than a good milking. and, you know, someone to make obscure simpsons references with.
Tough part is finding a cow? More like choosing which one to milk! Especially when you have cupcakes!
Don’t make me sic my candy-industry girlfriend on you, Peter. Child labor in the chocolate industry is a small problem that the majority of cocoa growers are stoutly against.

What I want to know is, why Wayan is in town at all on V-day? Seems to me I remember a lot of noise being made about a sunny vacation down south to get away from all the hearts and flowers! But here he sits!
I wanted to go, but work called and I had to stay. Now work might be senting me down south anyway – on their dime. Now that’s sweetness!
