Metal-Detector Marriages

As someone seriously considering a courthouse wedding myself, I really enjoyed the Post magazine’s feature on couples getting married at the DC courthouse, called Metal-Detector Marriages.

The stories of the couples in the article are very heartwarming. Love the last bride’s secret to making marraige last.

I got married at the DC Courthouse. It was fun, and they made the entire process from getting the license to the ceremony completely painless, even hiding the ring going through security from me (it was a surprise). Highly recommend it for a low-key legality.

I haven’t read the Post story yet so I’m not gonna call them copycats, but City Paper did this (well) back in July. http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/cover/2005/cover0708.html

Thought the story was great…I’m more interested in the first brides dress. It’s beautiful. If anyone knows where to get it or have it made, please let me know..
