DC Maps
I love maps. I dunno, maybe it’s a guy thing. Anyway, here is a list of maps for the DC Metro area that target specific niches. I realize that some of these have already been posted here. Hopefully not all of them, and it will be interesting to see if our regulars and curious visitors have more to contribute.

- HousingMaps DC — Looking for an apartment? A craigslist/Google Maps mashup.
- DC Rails — Enter your address to find the nearest Metro train station.
- Traffic and Construction — Uncheck the Live Traffic box to surf Yahoo! Maps beta in standard mode.
- Zipcar DC — Select a neighborhood and find the nearest car.
- Menu Request DC — Locate restaurants by cuisine, district and zip code.
- DC Traffic Cams — Don’t fall asleep watching these.
- Intellicast Radar Loop DC — Real-time storm watching, this will come in handy today.
- Zillow — Find home values in any neighborhood.
- Boundary Stones — Pushpins for every surviving marker stone, with GPS coordinates and Flickr photos.

Here’s another one, gChart started out as a simple idea: a Google Maps mashup that gives you the local time for any location on the planet simply by clicking on the map. Since then, they have added weather, currency/exchange rates, and local blogs. Here is a link to Washington, DC blogs (complete with Flickr pics). Now if I can just figure out how to add DC Metroblogging!
toEat.com is another Google Maps restaurant finder, this one is really slick: Washington, DC.
For dead-tree map fans, nothing beats ADC street map books.
