I’m super excited about the end of this week, for one huge, big, major, monstrous dork reason: CPAC. The Conservative Political Action Conference is a big deal in my world because it was my first political job about four and half years ago when I worked for them and their parent organization here right out of university. I was but a wee and bright-eyed 21-year-old.

I left the organization a few years ago, but still participate via my current job with sponsorships, exhibits and the like – and I’m not even going to lie, I’d probably go anyway, even if not for the work component. Yep, I’m that much of a nerd.

CPAC has about 5,000 conservative activists from around the country – the most exciting for me being that about 1,800 of them are college students trying to network and learn about new policy issues. Watch for some conservative lovin’, conservative hating, and some plain old good witty commentary from some of your very own blogger friends (for this site and their own) during the conference. TCS Daily sponsors a Blogger’s Corner, so a bunch of DC-based bloggers set up shop for a few days and blog away about the speakers and the conference.
