Show me some love, JetBlue!

It’s not that I don’t appreciate your upgrading my coffee options, darlings, but we geeks need our toys first and coffee second. After all, there’s lots of other caffeine delivery systems out there to pick from. Our very own Fairfax-based nerd-toy seller Think Geek has a suite of stuff ranging from caffeinated mints and gums to sodas and effervescent tablets, a la Alka-Seltzer, so I can manage that part myself.

No, what I need more than that is bandwidth and you’ve scorned me for other cities. C’mon, Long Beach and JFK get it but we don’t? JFK I get, given the number of flights you run out of there. But Long Beach? We’ve got almost as many flights! Pony up the bits, Blue!

The lack of Wireless access at Dulles is really quite egregious. There’s no publicly accessible wireless internet access there, at all, period. I’d love to see this fixed.

I cared less till I had to wait an hour in the Ft Lauderdale airport in December. Then I realized just how sweet it is to be able to do something worthwhile with your time while you wait for the wheels of injustice to grind away. Hell, I always travel with my headset now – I could Skype away if I needed to.

Honestly if I spent more time on the road I’d have signed up for one of the all-you-can-eat EDGE/GPRS deals by now.

And of course, here I am, at Dulles, on Wireless. The Rent-a-Cellular storefront in the B concourse near the Starbucks offers 24 hours of connectivity for a sweet $10.

I’ve paid less, and I’ve paid more, and bandwidth seems to be reasonable here at least…
