If you look out your office window anytime in the next two minutes, you’ll probably see the first flakes of 2006. However, it’s the Rhode Island of all Snowstorms. All of two minutes. According to Chester V. Schmitt, meteorologist at the Department of Commerce, what we’ve just experienced is a snowsquall. Essentially the equivalent of a summer thunderstorm, without the thunder.

So don’t get your hopes up for a snow day…. sorry…
