church in the strangest places

for almost 10 years, the national community church, a christian org, has been holding gatherings at the strangest places, including union station, the ballston commons mall and nation (the nightclub). yes, the nightclub.

wow, i don’t think the nuns where i grew up ever left the convent or church grounds. from what it looks like, the congregation is mainly singles in their 20s who may enjoy a little scripture discussion under the fog machine and disco ball of nation’s.

they are planning to build a coffee shop, ebenezers, near to union station. not sure if it’s completed yet, but we, the dc metbloggers community, will keep an eye out for it and let y’all know when it goes up.

I went here for the first 6 months I lived here – love it, it’s a great church. Just too far, I was living in way-too-far Fairfax.
