Musical happenings…
Here’s some musical events happening around town this Sunday (Dec. 18th):
Musical Interludes in Arlington, The Shops at Lee Heights from 3:00 – 4:00 PM- Free recitals, local musicians will perform and provide shoppers with music.
Central Maryland Chorale performs their annual Messiah sing-along starting at 4:00 PM at the Laurel Presbyterian Church. $10.00 for tickets at the door.
Cantate Chamber Singers will perform Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 at 4:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Washington DC. $30.00 for tickets, $12.00 for under 18.
Piano Christmas in Salzburg from 4-6 PM at the Dumbarton Church where classical works and Christmas Carols from Mozart’s time will be played. $20.00 for tickets, $10.00 for students.
We’ve already missed out on the Elliot in the Morning non-denominational Christmas party at the 9:30 Club, but you can still go to the Clarendon Grill on Sunday for Local Lix with DC101’s Roche. A $3.00 cover gets you in with doors opening at 6 and the show starting at 7.
There’s also still time for the Downtown Countdown on new years eve. I think DC101 listeners still have a chance to win tickets by listening. Being the late 30’s father of two very energetic children, I’m sure that I won’t be there, but it does look like it will be a blast.
