WAMU is online… offline

I did some beating up on Diane Rehm and WAMU last week over what I thought was some outdated reporting (and DC Metblogs neglect!) so I thought it only fair I give them some credit for areas where they’re with the times.

A few months ago NPR started putting their toe in the Podcasting pool and WAMU has gone along by adding some good ‘casts of locally focused programming. If you’re like me and have a hard time chewing gum and walking at the same time, being able to download weekly podcasts means you don’t have to listen on the company time and stare blankly at your monitor in order to stay up to date on what’s going on in DC.

For the moment you can grab Metro Connection, The Kojo Nnamdi Show’s DC Politics Hour, and the Diane Rehm Show’s Friday News Roundup. If you’re a podcast newbie the links have instructions on how to get started and some helpful links.

Anyone know why all the podcast episodes are ones that air on Friday?
