Looking for a Interesting Christmas Gift? For Two?
A bunch of us got a co-worker a gift certificate to L’Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda. They have all kinds of classes from advance culinary to their “recreational” assortment. Clearly the recreational would be my kind of class – from Cooking for Two, to Singles Dinner Party, Interesting Chicken, to Cookie Baking!
Just going inside to pick up the gift certificate was fun. It’s in a cute tri-level historically-restored building, smells wonderful, and has cute written all over it.
A good Christmas gift for a significant other – something for both of you to do together! Or, for the pining-to-be-a-chef suit that you know.
This is such a good idea – a gift certificate from LAC was one of the best
I really really recommend the Basic Knife Skills class taught by Brian Patterson – he is fantastic and you learn a lot.

Sur La Table has a number of culinary class offerings as well and our Arlington-esque readers might find their Pentagon Row location more accessable than Bethesda. The people I know who’ve taken them have given them good reviews.
