And, you're right, he's very funny! It is really hard to compare him to anyone as he has a very individual sound and voice. Absolutely great lyrics and stellar guitar playing abound, always! 'East Asheville Hardware' is my overall favorite album (really encompasses how his live shows are), but my favorite song is 'Advertising Man'... I don't think James Taylor is too far off, but I think David is a better songwriter (and funnier too!). He's his own man.
