Burrr, where’s my DC summer?

Well that’s it, I warned you and now its official – winter’s coming and I’m hibernating till spring. Yes, I know there are folks who love this time of the year, the crisp air, the falling leaves, all that seasons changing crap. But that ain’t me. I miss my DC summer.

I love the heat, the sweat, the rooftop pool party time. This whole cold at night, warm in the day, all with dry air wrecks havoc on my skin. So today was clear & sunny, but did you feel that biting wind? I got windburn playing kickball!

Ba-humbug, I miss my days in the park

Wayan darling, you crack me up. This is PERFECT weather. Sunny, clear, brisk – invigorating! Hardly winter yet… wait til it hits ’30!!

But then, I’m a New England girl at heart, so it’s probably just nostalgia that makes me love days like this…

BOOM – before you can blame Marion Berry you’re forced This is a prelude to something much worse…

The only thing to love about fall is the first leather boots of winter. Akin to the first mini skirts of spring, they are a change in attire I cannot be so against.

I saw my first pair this morning, black, almost to the knee, on shapely legs crossing 15th Street at K. Nice visual for the bike ride to work.
