Matter of priorities I suppose, Jenn. Personally I could do with <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A33527-2005Jan24.html" rel="nofollow">a bit of consulting pay from the DC police.</a>

Most news sources filed the story about an hour ago, but they're not reporting what time the arrest happened.

Hee, my boss wanted to go to the protests on Saturday and was hoping he wouldn't get arrested, since he left for Europe yesterday. I can imagine him using his one phone call to try to get his tickets refunded.

Actually, I think I saw part of this - do you know what time it was?

At lunch I went to do some banking, opposite Treasury, and there was a tense police presence, cars and motorcycles, and a large crowd opposite the White House. Of course, I didn't approach any further because I always remember how those innocent bystanders got swept up by the police brigade that one time near Freedom Plaza.

That would be a great way to start the week: "Where've you been? That was a long lunch break!" "Oh, in jail."
