Wait, we WON?!

Redskins Win!
That was my response when I saw the headline this morning putting the Redskins on top of the Cowboys by a point. When I said last night “Of course, it looks like the Redskins are done for, down 13-7 late in the 4th quarter with the Cowboys in possession, but hey, stranger things have happened, no?” I had honestly no inkling that Mark Brunell and Santana Moss would hook up for a late TD to end a 10 year losing streak at Texas Stadium and put the Redskins 2-0.

Of course, if you’re Patrick Ramsey you have to think that you’ll be spending some quality time wearing a ball cap and holding a clipboard, and that’s going to piss you off.

Of course, if you’re Michael Wilbon and you call out the Redskins for never beating the Cowboys, you’re a hero for spurring on the home team with a little tough love.

Of course, if you’re Daniel Snyder, you never give a second thought to trading Lavernues Coles.

Of course, if you’re Joe Gibbs, you gotta take a deep breath, because now Dan’s not going to fire you this week.

Not a bad spot for the Redskins to be in: 2-0 and coming up on a Bye week before you bring Seattle in.

Quoting the driver of my blue line Metro train this morning: “Attention passengers: you may see a few people on the platform crying. They are Dallas Cowboys.”
