The WMATA Straight Scoop
Have you ever felt that WMATA was getting erroneously skewered by the press? That the WashPost was not telling the whole story about WMATA’s operations? Well now you can check out WMATA’s angle on the press dangle – it now has the straight scoop: Metro’s view to some media stories so let the spin begin!
There are riveting corrections like:
– The story erroneously claimed that an industry peer review panel recommended that the average age of a Metrobus should be five years. The peer review panel recommended that the average age of the fleet be reduced, but it did not state a specific age.
– The story details a temporary power outage at the Court House station that lasted about an hour. But the story misstates that there was a “blackout” and leaves out some facts.
– A patron complained that the local 12C bus route had been restructured and was now part of the 12S route, and there were no schedule stop times for the 12 S at the Centreville Park and Ride.
Wow! Glad WMATA was there to stop the WashPost madness. Don’t know about you, but I’m gonna congratulate WMATA’s Board of Directors at tomorrow night’s Town Hall Meeting in College Park, MD. Spin is so much better than substance.
Getting erroneously what by the press?
Skewered, baby, skewered, like you and Darpino do to me.
Just keeping you honest, my dear ;)
Not their fault you deserve it time and again, Wayan. :D
