That darn canopy, part 2
Remember back in April when I posted about the glass canopy over the Old Patent Office Building? Yesterday, the National Capital Planning Commission voted 9 to 2 to approve a design. Three months ago, they voted 6 to 5 to reject the design. The designer is Norman Foster, a Pritzker Architecture Prize winner from London. He and his colleagues previously created a glass roof for the Great Court of the British Museum
