		<description>The best subs ever come from Capriotti&#039;s.  The only down side is that you have to got to DE or MD to get them.  I think the closest one to DC is at the beach in DE.  Worth the drive, though, lemme tell ya.  Fresh turkey cooked overnight in their on-site ovens, yummy cheese steaks...

		<description>A couple of years ago, the WashPost ran a contest to see if anyone could come up with a quintessential DC food.  They came up with the half-smoke.  Apparently, no other region has them (or calls their large hot dog-like items by that name).</description>

There&#039;s just nothing here that resembles a Primanti Bro&#039;s sammich. But, if Rita&#039;s can come to DC, perhaps Primanti&#039;s can too!!</description>
