One of the ten teams participating in the upcoming eighth season of The Amazing Race (airing September 27th) hails from Woodbridge. The Black family – dad Reggie, mom Kimberly, and sons Kenneth, 11, and Austin, 8 – is probably up for the challenge of racing around the world for a million dollars, since they all compete in Tae Kwon Do tournaments. (Kenneth has a black belt and Austin, the youngest person to ever compete in The Amazing Race, is close to getting his.) Reggie attended Norfolk State University and is a high school teacher, and Kimberly is a fifth grade teacher who went to Marymount. This team is the second to appear from this area – sixth season contestant Gus was from Maryland.
