Sushi Taro

I ate in Sushi Taro (1503 17th Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20036, U.S.A.) the other night and had a really great meal. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building on 17th & P (above CVS). It was recommended to me by a friend as excellent, authentic sushi and Japanese food.

    Definitely agree. They also have a fantastic Cherry Blossom Festival event every year that’s all-you-can-eat. Delish. I love the sushi chefs there - some of the same faces for the past ten years - and they are extremely talented.

    Sushi Taro is, bar none, my favorite place for Sushi in the area, but when I’m looking for something a little closer to home (I live in Alexandria), there is a little place on the main drag in Shirlington that’s pretty close too. And they have tempura spicy tuna rolls. Yum.
