Making Some Serious Change
According to the Washington Post, a collection of 19th and 20th century coins were stolen from the Loudoun County Courthouse. The collection, found on the courthouse property in 1997, are reputed to be worth $5,000.
The coins were on display at the Courthouse and the robbery occured last Tuesday. Sherriff’s deputies theorize that it may have happened in broad daylight while the court was in session. So they guy seemed to have jimmied the case open and walked off with the coins while about 25 deputies were on the premises.
So if you find a King George penny in your change, don’t worry, we haven’t become a Bush Monarchy yet. Once you regain your senses, proceed to do the right thing!
